Howey Bay Resort Outposts

Join us for a more remote experience at one of our 6 Outpost locations on one of 5 lakes.

Leaving right from our Main Resort, you will fly into the lake of your choice. All flights are between 10 – 25 minutes from the Main Resort. The lakes are often fed by a river and you will see waterfowl and other wildlife. On 4 of the lake, you are the only cabin on the lake. Little Vermillion is the exception as we have 2 cabins on the south end of the lake. Many of the lakes have at least 1 portage lake if you are up for a walk and some added adventure. All portage lakes have boats, motors, paddles and gas waiting on the other side. Just bring your fishing pole, bait and life jacket for this adventure. And don’t forget your camera!

Little Vermilion Little Vermillion is a large body of water approx. 15 miles long and reaches depths of up to 30 feet. Trophy Northern and world class Walleye are found here! This is a Catch and Consume Lake.

Odin Lake Odin Lake offers a chain of lakes to fish including Toutin, Reigate, Moose and Rodie Lakes. All are Catch and Consume lake and Reigate has the added conservation practice of barbless hooks only.

Pringle Lake Pringle Lake is approximately 5 miles long and water reaches depths of up to 30 feet. There is no shortage of Northern on Pringle Lake which makes it a fun lake to fish.

George Lake Although George Lake is a smaller lake, water depths range up to 35 feet. George is a picturesque lake with plenty of Walleye and Northern alike. Northern range from small up to 20 lbs!

Valhalla Lake Valhalla Lake offers the challenge on great Lake Trout and Northern fishing with water depths up to 75 feet in places! There are 3 portage lakes ranging from a 5 to 7 minute walk.

Our outposts include:

Cabin equipped with propane gas stove, refrigerator, freezer, hot and cold running water, showers, solar powered electric lights, single beds (boxspring and mattress), woodstove heater, and all cooking and eating dishes and utensils.
14ft. Aluminum boat and 1 motor for each two persons (spare motor at each camp)
Mixed gasoline
Air transportation from Red Lake to outpost camp and return. Since our rates are based on utilizing the aircraft both ways, it is essential that you arrive at our main camp in Red Lake in the early morning on the date you are to fly to the outpost camp.
