Welcome To George Lake!
Enjoy a wilderness adventure holiday at a Howey Bay Resort outpost
George is very picturesque with bays and inlets along every shoreline. The shape of the lake permits guests to be able to fish in most wind conditions. The deepest part of the lake is approximately 30 feet with an average depth of 14 to 18 feet. George Lake abounds with walleye of all sizes with the biggest generally in the 25 inch range. Northern are also plentiful and are caught throughout the lake with the biggest generally in the 45 inch range.
This lake has developed into a great experience for families with children since you can fish in most wind conditions, catch a lot of fish and generally catch fish right off the dock. Since the cabin and deck is located close to the water relaxing in this pristine environment is most often an important part of the day.
The only portage lake off George Lake is Kenny Lake which can be reached after a six minute walk. Guests fish for walleye and northern on a catch and release basis as a change of pace from George Lake.
Our six-eight person cabin is the only cabin on the lake.
